If Happy Meals made us so happy as kids, then they must surely make us happy as adults, right? I have to think so. Maybe that’s why we’re all anxious and stressed all the time… because we’ve been deprived of Happy Meals for so long.
But not for long! Next month, McDonald’s plans to roll out ADULT HAPPY MEALS.

The new adult Happy Meals will come with two options, Big Mac or McNuggets. Both come with fries and a drink. But what’s a Happy Meal without a toy? Of course, you get a toy! The first line of Happy Meal toys is mini figurines of the classic McDonald’s characters Grimace, the Hamburglar, Birdie, and also including this dude Cactus Buddy! I have no idea what this whole Cactus Plant Flea Market thing is, however.
To be honest with you, when I hear the words “Adult Happy Meal” I picture the classic box with the golden arches as handles, a McDonald’s Value Meal of my choice, and then like a shot bottle of booze. Maybe some scratch-offs. Even a voucher for a free tall boy beer from the store. You know, something ADULT. I don’t want the toy, or at least THESE toys. They’re kind of weird. And why do they have 4 eyes? Looking at these things in the eyes creates that optical illusion where it seems like you’re drunk. Maybe that was on purpose?

Just look at those eyes and tell me it doesn’t remind you of having 10 too-many cocktails as you desperately try to keep yourself together!
Adult Happy Meals will be available at McDonald’s starting October 3rd, for a limited time.
But there’s also another awesome McDonald’s rumor making the rounds and I love it. McDonald’s COULD be re-releasing the Halloween Happy Meal pails!
I don’t know why, but these things were amazing! Marketed towards being a container to collect candy in on Halloween night, I just used mine for crayons or Legos or something, because there was no way I would allow myself to bring home that little amount of candy to fit in that small pail. But still, these pails were awesome, and they came with the best-tasting fruit snacks ever!
While an A+ move for me by McDonald’s, I think they know what they need to do. Time will tell.
