If the thought of a bunch of snakes escaping a plane is terrorizing, what about an actual bear?! Because that just happened. Didn’t have bears on a plane on my 2023 Bingo Card.
It all went down in Dubai. A plane’s departure was delayed for an hour after an actual, real-life bear escaped its cage in the cargo area.

Excuse me, what? I have so many questions, first and foremost… IS THIS A COMMON ACCURANCE?!
I obviously know people ship their dogs, cats, and other pets with them, but how often are we shipping bears? And would we ever even know if a bear was on our plane?! Probably not. Someone would just be sitting there enjoying their window seat when suddenly a hungry bear bursts through the floor and takes a lil human snack back down with him. Imagine the shock of the poor human snack person.
I seriously didn’t even know there could even be a remote possibility that a bear was running amuck on my plane. And what do you even do in that situation? Other than hoping you get a quick enough emergency landing before the bear decides to destroy the plane in a fit of rage and kills everyone.
I don’t know what’s scarier, snakes on a plane or bears on a plane. I prefer my planes with neither.
