Taylor Swift has released 1989 (Taylor’s Version), including the “From the Vault” track “Is It Over Now?,” which has left people speculating who the song could be about. The top theory? Harry Styles, according to Billboard.
This conclusion came after fans compared “Anti-Hero,” determined to be Swift’s breakup song about Styles, to “Is It Over Now?” and seemed to find a connection between the two.
The evidence? Per Billboard, to start, the second verse says: “When you lost control/ Red blood, white snow/ Blue dress on a boat/ Your new girl is my clone.” People believe “lost control/ Red blood” could be a reference to when Swift revealed that she had been involved in a snowmobile accident in her cover story on Rolling Stone in 2014. Styles was rumored to be involved in that accident, as he was seen wearing a bandage on his chin during that time.
Next, “blue dress on a boat” might just be referring to the paparazzi photo of Swift in, you guessed it, a blue dress on a boat during her Caribbean vacation with Styles. That was when rumors were circulating that the pair had called it quits.

Lastly, the “Your new girl is my clone” line. According to Billboard, fans believe it could coincide with a line in Style’s song “From the Dining Table,” where he says, “Woke up the girl who looked just like you/ I almost said your name.”
Another piece of evidence fans have caught is the opening line being “Once the flight had flown,” which they believe is referencing the past couple’s iconic paper airplane necklaces, which Swift also mentioned in “Out of the Woods.”
Are these all reaching, or are fans onto something here? Who knows, but it is fun to speculate.
