Terius Gesteelde-Diamant, known in the music business as The-Game, has been accused of rape and sexual battery by a former protégée. Chanaaz Mangroe, a performer who went by the name of Channii Monroe, filed a lawsuit against Gesteelde-Diamant on Tuesday in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles. Mangroe alleges that The-Game repeatedly abused her during their relationship, promising her a successful music career while forcing her to have unwanted sex with him and physically assaulting her.
“What Dream did to me made it impossible to live the life I envisioned for myself and pursue my goals as a singer and songwriter,” Ms. Mangroe said in a statement. “Ultimately, my silence has become too painful, and I realized that I need to tell my story to heal. I hope that doing so will also help others and prevent future horrific abuse.” (New York TImes)
