Taylor Swift Ties Beyoncé in Total VMA Wins (VIDEO)

On September 11th, at the 2023 VMAs in Elmont, New York, Taylor Swift made news by officially tying Beyoncé in total VMA wins. Swift’s new total? A staggering 30 awards, after claiming an impressive 7 trophies in just one night.

Swift snagged the Video of the Year award, marking the fifth time she’s taken home that award. This year, she shared the spotlight with Post Malone, who collaborated with her on the winning track “Fortnight”.

Swift’s previous Video of the Year victories include:

• “Bad Blood” (2015)
• “You Need To Calm Down” (2019)
• “All Too Well: The Short Film” (2022)
• “Anti-Hero” (2023)

Taylor claimed victories over artists like Charli XCX, Oliva Rodrigo, and even Sabrina Carpenter. However, it’s important to note that this marks the seventh consecutive year that a woman won Best New Artist and the fifth year in a row that a woman has won Song Of The Year. Sounds like the guys have some ground to make up!
