FOND DU LAC, Wis. — Former Ripon Fire Chief Timothy Saul will not have to spend any time behind bars for misuse of a department credit card.
Instead, Saul is sentenced in Fond du Lac County Court to $3,000 in fines for three counts of credit card fraud.
Saul used the fire department’s credit accounts to wrack up $30,000 in personal purchases between 2016 and his resignation in 2022.
He had previously paid back all of that debt.
