GREEN BAY, Wis. — A Green Bay man is accused of trying to kill his girlfriend.
Floyd Simmons is charged in Brown County Court with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, strangulation and threat to cause bodily harm to individuals in the legal system.
According to the criminal complaint, Simmons choked the 57-year-old woman during an argument in Jackson Square Park last Friday. The alleged victim was able to fight him off and call for help.
Simmons faces up to life in prison if convicted.
