Camp Rock 3 is officially happening, and yes, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato are all on board. Joe, Nick, and Kevin are reprising their roles as Shane, Nate, and Jason Gray (aka Connect 3), while Demi is stepping into a new role as an executive producer.
Maria Canals-Barrera will also be back as Connie Torres, and the franchise is welcoming fresh faces including Sherry Cola, Liamani Segura, Malachi Barton, and Lumi Pollack.
According to E! News, the official press release teases: “The story picks up when Connect 3 lose their opening act for a major reunion tour, returning to their beloved Camp Rock to discover the next big thing. As campers vie for the chance to open for their favorite band, tensions rise and friendships are tested, leading to unexpected alliances, revelations and romances.”
The Jonas Brothers announced the project on Instagram with a throwback voiceover using their Gray brothers’ audio from the very first Camp Rock with the caption “Good morning campers”. They also shared a video of Joe Jonas walking across the Camp Rock outdoor stage saying “Shane Gray for crying out loud,” with the caption, “Close enough. Welcome back Shane Gray”.
Demi joined in the excitement on September 17, posting the official artwork to her Instagram Story and writing: “Another one but make it camp!! Good luck to this next class of campers.”
