GREEN BAY, Wis. — An arrest warrant is issued for a suspect in a financial scam ring targeting local credit unions.
Dion Crawford of Milwaukee fails to appear in Brown County Court on charges of fraud against a financial institution and money laundering.
Crawford is among 19 people charged in connection with a scam where the suspects posed as the fraud financial team for Fox Communities Credit Union and Community First Credit Union last year, stealing more than $215,000 from members.
He faces up to nine years in prison if convicted.
