APPLETON, Wis. — Appleton officials like what they see in plans to makeover W. College Avenue.
The city, the town of Grand Chute, and Outagamie County are working together to develop new designs for College heading out of downtown Appleton.
Mayor Jake Woodford says no construction timetable is set yet, but the municipalities now have a plan for when work is done………
The shared vision plan includes adding more pedestrian and bicyclist options along College Ave., improving intersection safety and doing away with the frontage roads on both sides to simplify business access.
