TOWN OF FREMONT, Wis. — A Waupaca County sheriff’s deputy suffers minor injuries when his squad car is rear-ended during a traffic stop.
The deputy was on the scene of a crash along U.S. Highway 10 in the town of Fremont around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday when an SUV traveling at high speed collided with his squad.
The deputy was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt. He was cited for operating without a valid license, speeding, failure to maintain control of a vehicle, failure to change lanes for emergency vehicles and failure to have insurance.
