MENASHA, Wis. — The city of Menasha is moving forward with a new aquatic center at Jefferson Park. The Common Council approves concept plans for a water park that will feature a lap pool, water slides, a lazy river and a four-seasons community building, which Parks Director Megan Sackett says is needed………….
The city is committing $8 million toward the aquatic center, with the rest of the project cost coming from private donations. Council President Ted Grade says it’s a worthwhile investment…………..
The Menasha Public Works Committee rejected an effort to put the $8 million city commitment to a referendum vote this fall. Construction on the new aquatic center will start in 2027, with completion in time for the summer of 2028.
