APPLETON, Wis. — An Oneida woman who took part in the starvation of a teenage girl reaches a plea deal with prosecutors.
Melissa Goodman is convicted in Outagamie County Court on two counts of chronic child neglect and one count of false imprisonment.
Goodman, her husband, Walter, her daughter, Savannah LeFever, and her daughter’s girlfriend, Kayla Stemler, lived with the 14-year-old girl, who weighed just 35 pounds when rescued in August of last year.
Melissa Goodman faces up to 46 years in prison when sentenced on July 1.
