OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Oshkosh Police Department is referring four adults for charges of disorderly conduct, physical abuse of a child and one count of a felon in possession of a firearm. That’s in connection with a disturbance at Pollock Pool Saturday afternoon. Two juveniles are also being referred for disorderly conduct.
Oshkosh police were initially called to Pollock Pool just after 4 p.m. for a fight between the adults and the juveniles after a dispute over a pool basketball game.
Officers then responded to a disturbance with a weapons call around 5:55 p.m. at a residence near E. Melvin Avenue and N. Main Street. That was a continuation of the dispute at Pollock Pool. A gunshot was heard during the disturbance outside the residence. Police say once the gunshot took place, a handgun was given to another person and later recovered by officers. Nobody was injured by the gunshot.
A 20-year-old Oshkosh woman was arrested and jailed on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
Oshkosh police continue investigating the incident.
