OSHKOSH, Wis. — The Winnebago County Board approves a 12-month moratorium on the development of data centers in towns where it controls zoning.
Supervisor George Bureau of Neenah supports the ban, thinking it may actually lead to better data center developments in the future.
Supervisor Andy Buck of Oshkosh fears the county could fall behind in development of a growing industry.
The data center moratorium will only be in effect for the towns of Algoma, Omro, Neenah and Nekimi.
