The murder of four people in northwest Wisconsin could’ve been at the hands of a copy-cat killer.
Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk believes 34-year-old Ritchie German could’ve been imitating the abduction of Jayme Closs. He says German murdered his mother, brother, and brother’s son on Sunday. He then went to a 24-year-old woman’s house and used a shotgun to blast his way inside.
Kowalczyk says German wounded Laile Vang’s parents before killing her and shooting himself. He says German’s car was running at his house. He says it’s similar to what happened in Baron County, but they’re not sure what his intentions were if he wanted to kidnap her.
Investigators say there were items in German’s car that suggested there were similarities to the Closs case.
