A 26-year-old Green Bay man has life threatening injuries after being hit by a car on the city’s near west side.
Green Bay police Lieutenant Clinton Beguhn says officers were called to the intersection of North Broadway Street and Dousman Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday.
He says they found an unconscious man in the road.
Shortly after that call, Beguhn says police were called by people following a reckless driver on Shawano Avenue.
Police caught up to that driver on Military Avenue and quickly realized he was involved in the hit and run.
Beguhn says damage to that man’s car is consistent with the crash.
The suspect is a 20-year-old Green Bay man.
He feels police will recommend he be charged with driving drunk as well as hit and run causing injury.
