Local nonprofits will get a boost from an event last weekend.
Fox Communities Credit Union helps put on Bike to the Beat, on the Saturday of the Mile of Music festival.
Spokeswoman Cathy Harvath says they raised nearly $57,000 this year. That’s up about $4,000. The number of riders also rose by about 10 percent.
She says all the money goes back into the Fox Valley area, through the credit union’s foundation.
Harvath says over the past four years, Bike to the Beat has raised nearly $200,000.
