A judge says Steven Avery doesn’t deserve a new trial over the handling of bone evidence by investigators.
A jury found Avery guilty of the 2005 murder of Teresa Halbach.
Judge Angela Sutkiewicz decided Avery didn’t prove there were violations of the law for preserving evidence, or his constitutional rights.
Defense attorney Kathleen Zellner tweeted that they can move the case to the appellate courts.
Avery is serving a life sentence, without the chance for parole.
