A special committee will try to find a way to cover most of the costs of rebuilding streets in Oshkosh.
The Common Council will pick 12 members, and they could be homeowners, business owners, and officials from nonprofit groups.
They’ll have 90 days from their first meeting to make a recommendation.
Council member Jake Krause believes that’s more than enough time. He fears that without a firm deadline, some committee members might just try to drag their feet.
Last month, the council voted down a plan to charge property owners a transportation fee of at least $4.50 a month to pay for replacing the concrete on streets.
