An Appleton woman was found dead in her apartment six months ago today.
60-year-old Lee Ann Dorn was murdered on the city’s south side. Police discovered her body in the apartment in the 200 block of Valley Road on February 22nd. Appleton police haven’t said much about the case since. They say it’s an ongoing investigation and they continue to work with the Winnebago County District Attorney’s office. They aren’t naming anyone as a suspect.
Dorn’s son was arrested while driving his mother’s car in northeast Kentucky several hours after her murder. He’s charged with driving drunk and he’s still behind bars in Kentucky.
Police brought the car back to Wisconsin to look for potential evidence.
