Police arrested two people in Fond du Lac after they say they threw two puppies into a stormwater pond on the city’s southwest side.
Officers say someone took a video of the suspects throwing the puppies into the pond near the corner of W. Rolling Meadows Drive and S. Hickory Street. They say the video also showed a man spinning one of the dogs around before tossing it into the water on Monday.
Police arrested a 22-year-old man and 20-year-old woman from Georgia. They could face charges of mistreating animals.
The Fond du Lac Humane Society is treating the puppies for water in their lungs and possible exposure to blue-green algae.
