The head of the Oshkosh school district says there are some similarities and differences preparing schools for hurricanes and snow.
Superintendent Vickie Cartwright held that same position in Orlando, Florida before coming to Wisconsin. She says paying attention to conditions like wind gusts and temperatures are always factors, as well as precipitation levels.
Cartwright says in either case the main concern is always safety for students and staff.
