Former Governor Scott Walker is talking about his son’s possible run for Congress.
Matt Walker has not formally announced entering the race for the 5th district seat. But Walker thinks his son would be a counter voice to people like Democratic U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. He says his son would argue really are more libertarian than liberal. He thinks they want the government out of the way, and they particularly want the federal government not to be in their business.
Longtime Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner announced last week that he isn’t running for re-election. Several Republicans have shown interest in running for the seat.
