Four brothers from the Berlin area will make history on an Old Glory Honor Flight today.
It’s the first time four siblings are taking part in the event. U.S. Army Veteran Al Youngbauer says more than 50 family members will welcome them home tonight. He says the welcome they got the first time they came home wasn’t great, so he’s looking forward to this one.
Al will be joined by his brothers Joe, Dave, and Paul. They range in age from 67 to 74. Joe and Dave served in Vietnam. Al and Paul trained for combat but were never sent overseas.
They worked with Old Glory staff and delayed some earlier trips for the chance to go together.
