The Red Lion Paper Valley Hotel in downtown Appleton is once again behind on paying its room taxes.
The city’s Finance Director tells our partner station Action Two News the updated amount is more than the $142.000 the Red Lion owed when it first missed a payment in April.
The most recent room tax payment was due July 31st.
Red Lion manager Linda Garvey says the money is tied up in legal proceedings because the hotel’s corporate owner, Inner Circle Investments, filed for bankruptcy in July.
