The latest proposal to let Oshkosh school children ride GO Transit buses for free would expand it to year-round.
The school district and the city have been negotiating for several months.
School Board member Allison Garner thinks it might be going too far to let them ride after-school, on Saturdays, and during the summer, at no cost. She says the original reason to explore the free rides was to improve student attendance.
The $90,000 cost of the free student rides would be split between the school district, the city, and private donations.
The school board and city council would have to agree.
