Colin Kaepernick and his girlfriend Ness Nitty called out Jay Z and Beyonce for sitting during the National Anthem at the Super Bowl. Kaepernick posted a pic of Jay and Beyonce sitting at the Super Bowl, along with the caption, “I thought we were 'past kneeling' tho?” Kaep's girlfriend Nessa posted the same pic and caption.
Kaep seemed to be referring to comments Jay Z made last year during the announcement of his partnership with the NFL. Jay said, “I think we’re past kneeling…”

In other news, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira's Super Bowl halftime show has been trending since Sunday (February 2nd), with most people discussing Jennifer's powerful statement about the border crisis. During the performance, J.Lo and Marc Anthony's 11-year-old daughter Emme sang “Let's Get Loud,” as she and other Latina children crawled out of steel cages on to the football field. This led to a brief rendition of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born In The USA” while Jennifer rocked a large Puerto Rican flag.
Well, that almost didn't happen! According to B. Scott, sources say that J. Lo came up with the idea to make the political statement but Roc Nation fought to get her to cut it from her set. The sources said that Jennifer put her foot down and insisted on keeping the segment. Jay Z/ Roc Nation's deal with the NFL is supposed to be working to smooth over the drama caused by Colin Kaepernick's social justice protest. Jay Z even tried to intervene to convince her to pull the segment but she refused. Tensions ran so high between the two camps that Lopez pulled out of joining Shakira for the opening number of the halfime show. stead, Shakira and J. Lo only performed together briefly at the end of the show. Roc Nation also encouraged Shakira — who is a Roc Nation client, to not appear onstage during “Born In The USA”, but the singer eventually decided to do it anyway, “playing drums during the number.”
Sources also revealed that a lot of people inside Jay's organization aren't happy with the NFL partnership.
