The Oshkosh Food Co-op has until the end of the month to meet their goal of raising $1.6 million dollars.
So far the group has raised $800 thousand.
Project Manager Lizz Redman is confident.
They need the money to secure a spot in a new downtown development.
The co-op would have the first floor of Merge Urban Development’s proposed new building at the corner of Jackson Street and Pearl Avenue.
She calls the downtown location a food desert that needs a local grocery store.
