The Fox Valley Concert Band, conducted by Dr. Marc Sackman, will present its annual holiday concert. The concert is free and open to the public. The band will play two classics of the band repertoire, both based on folk music, Percy Grainger’s setting of Ye Banks and Breas O’Bonny Doon and Alfred Reed’s Armenian Dances I. We will begin with Rossini’s The Barber of Seville Overture. Holiday music includes Morton Lauridsen’s O Magnum Mysterium and David Lovrien’s witty reimagining of well-known Christmas carols, Minor Alterations 2, Carols from the Dark Side. Our march is Marche Grandioso´ by Roland Seitz.
